Release Notes

What's New in this release?

Bugs corrected:

- Removed the security filter fonctions applyed to some fields when a product was saved. Because the security filter has been changed in the last DNN 4.x versions, this will avoid to include objects elements in the product fields. Moreover, it was not required to use the security filter in this case because only authorized users can create or edit a product.

- The verification code used by the provider was stored as an integer in the transaction class, thus leading zeros were removed and the transaction failed.

- At checkout, the link button "Add or Edit Address" has been splited in two link buttons (Add and Modify). When a link is clicked, the user is redirected to the Address form to create/modify address. If the registration is selected, then user is redirected to the DotNetNuke User Profile. This are just shortcuts but should help for a better navigation. A validation of the selected address (billing and shipping) has been added to avoid empty or incomplete address.

New features:

- Two new settings and a hard coded rule was added to the Store Admin module. Previously, only members of the Administrators group and host accounts was able to manage the Store settings and status order. Now the Store Info tab (Store settings) will be displayed only to admin and host accounts. The new settings "Manage Orders" and "Manage Catalog" allow to define which user's group can edit status order and/or can manage the catalog (Categories, Products and Reviews).

- When an order is edited by an authorized user, the client's email address is displayed below his billing address. This is another usefull shortcut if you have to contact your client.

This release will be submited 12/28/2009 to the release tracker as version 02.02.02 for official release.

IMPORTANT: If you have installed the beta 02.01.23 WITH sources ({}), please verify if a file named "{Store_02.00.00_Source}" exist in the ...\DesktopFolder\Store folder and delete it BEFORE upgrade!

Store 02.01.27 beta is fully compliant with DotNetNuke migration standards. It can upgrade any previous version, and will be upgradable to the next official version.

SkinObjects are optional if you use the install version, but they are required with the source version.

All gateway providers has been tested; other code files have been rewritten for XHTML compliancy and have been tested.

This version has been tested successfully with DNN 4.4.1, DNN 4.9.5 (it should work with all versions between 4.4.1 and 4.9.5), DNN 5.1.2, DNN 5.1.4 and DNN 5.2.0 (it should work with all newer version).

A draft of the new Templating documentation (rev 1.0.4) is available for web designers. Translators and administrators should read it too! If you use the Store module with an other language than en-US, you have to create a localized version of graphics buttons. Please download and read the Templating Guide for more information.

For a source project deployment, please refer to Gilles's blog :

(translate version numbers as needed, the process remaining the same).
